Nouvelle Legende Flame Retardant Quilted Mitt Red - Features
This commercial grade flame retardant mitt covers most of the forearm for added protection from the oven door, the sides, and the grates. Many burns happen by inadvertently touching a hot surface while cooking. The long 17 inch mitts cover a good portion of the forearm.
When cooking, many cooks wrap a towel around a spoon or other stirring device which can come in contact with the open flame of a burner on the stove and catch fire.
The primary function of these mitts is to flame out with their fire retardant treatment avoiding potentially dangerous situations. This is a crucial tool in any kitchen. As a safety feature, the mitts are treated in order to resist flames and not catch on fire when momentarily exposed to a flame.
Use indoor or outdoor. For the kitchen, the grill and any other job requiring temporary heat protection. They come in a traditional mitt style and shape.
These mitts have been tested rigorously at 500 degrees Fahrenheit by a third party laboratory and passed the 500 degrees Fahrenheit heat resistance tests.
CAUTION: Mitts are NOT to be used when wet. Water transmits heat, and also reduces the flame insulation of any product.
