Description

One of the most common reasons RV water heaters stop working is interior damage. The water inside your heater contains many destructive properties including heat and harsh minerals that can build up and eat away at the steel sidings in your tank, shortening the life of your heater and leaving you out in the cold with a sopping mess and broken water heater. Fortunately, interior damage can easily be avoided. Quick Products Anode Rods insert into your water heater to help draw those damaging elements away from the tank and onto the rod itself. Constructed of magnesium, a metal softer and more absorbent than steel, the anode rod sacrifices itself to protect your tank. Anode rods are easily replaceable and should be checked each time the water heater tank is drained. Always have a spare anode rod ready to go while checking the current rod. Rods should be replaced yearly or when 75% of the rod’s mass has been eaten away. Check your water heater’s recommendations for anode rods to ensure a proper fit.
