Mabyon is a Dyndraig, and thus a man-dragon of fire and strength and indomitable will, a direct reminder of all that dragon-kind once was - and could never be again. The remnants of dragon-kind know this, know that their fate is to diminish and pass from all memory, and yet still they aid the humans of Gwynedd and what else remains of the Cymry while they can; for Mabyon and many others of Gwaelod hold to the ancient pacts still, even if few humans now remember them, lending their fiery power gladly to the descendants of the Combrogi in their struggle for survival against the inhuman enemies that surround them.
