1. Remember to set the DVD Region to United States on the player – Properties – click Hardware Tab – click Properties button – then choose country Region (US is 1) and OK to apply. Remember you can only reset the country 5 times.
2. For desktop, not to use an extension cord or hub and to plug into the mother board port on the rear, not front.
3. For macbook, to eject a disc, you have to use the drop-down "eject" button on your computer under the file tab. Pushing the button on the disc drive wont do anything.
4. For macbook and ultra-thin laptops, due to a potential power issue, its better to use a powered hub to connect the external cd/dvd drive with your computer, or use the disc reader for laptop only when your computer is fully charged.
5. If you want to use an extension cord, use one no longer than 0.8 m. Shorter is better due to power issue.

So you need a third-party software to convert your file format to one that can be shown on discs. It wont work even you burn your file onto discs without converting format.
