It’s time to make the Pocket Protector cool again. It’s not just a nerdy pen and pencil holder for your shirt pocket. Scientists and engineers need these back in their labs to stay organized, stay efficient, protect their lab coats, and finish their experiments without being late to lunch. So we researched and tested every type ever made to methodically solve each problem and come up with this refreshed design. Here are some of our favorite improvements:
- The classic flimsy white PVC pouch is replaced by robust but soft faux leather (no animals harmed), bonded and stitched to protect your lab coat from the ink in leaky pens.
- Designed almost an inch deeper to fit taller lab utensils and a little wider to perfectly fit the pockets on our new lab coat line. (Check your pocket width and height for compatibility if not using it with our lab coat coming in late 2023.)
- A thin inner divider for pens with smaller clips, and built full-length to prevent grips from catching when you pull them out.
- Rectangular tab on the front flap for your badge clip and holder - no more digging it out from under your lab coat.
- Angled top flaps form a hexagon (because we love hexagons)…and to give a sleeker, skinnier feel than the traditional blocky rectangle version.
Available in several colors so you can easily identify your lab coat from a colleague’s…or quickly swap them out with a different set of tools depending on what you’re doing that day.

How do we make these?
The founder designed these Pocket Protectors after finding many problems with both the classic design and the newer ones on the market. Our factory partner, specializing in leather work, cuts and sews them with <1 mm tolerances. Our logo is permanently debossed into the backing where it wont rub off. We personally inspect and package each one before sending to Amazons warehouse.
