The ADC basically consists of two rotatable prisms made of Bk7 glass. Prism produces some chromatic aberration, as opposed to atmospheric dispersion. Therefore, the ADC corrects this stimulating effect. The relative position of the prism can be freely adjusted with a small slide.
SV199 ADC—Atmospheric dispersion corrector, used to eliminate the effect of atmospheric dispersion in planetary photography and visual observation.
Reduce color variations caused by atmospheric dispersion and improve imaging of planets, especially low-altitude planets.
Steps for usage:
Steps 1: Turn the center mark to the 0 position, tighten and fix it, and then adjust the two handles to be in line with the center mark. (The center mark is at the intersection of the two rails).
Steps 2: Mount the ADC on the telescope so that it is parallel to the horizontal direction of the telescopes field of view.
Steps 3: Adjust the declination handle oppositely, and the scale on the ADC can ensure that the two long rods rotate the same distance. (When the two rotating handles are on the same vertical line, the two wedge-shaped prisms are at the zero point position (that is, the two prisms are in a parallel state and there is no included angle); When the two handles are rotated in opposite directions to the limit, the maximum angle is 4.5°. During the adjustment process, always observe the changes of the electrical image, do not adjust too much and avoid insufficient adjustment).
There is a small spirit level at the top of the atmospheric dispersion corrector to better find the zero position of the ADC.
The ring scale can adjust the dispersion correction to reduce edge chromatic aberration and make detailed planetary photographs sharper.
The declination adjustment range of the double wedge prism is 4.5 degrees, so it can be adjusted more accurately.
The eyepiece and camera mounting interface use a coaxial locking setting mounting method to ensure the coaxiality.
Prism lenses adopt a double-sided coating process to reduce light loss and significantly increase the light transmittance of the ADC.

Observation Discovery & Exploration
We are SVBONY, a young and passionate team of astronomy and sports optics products. We start from 2014, and our team are working for R&D practical optical products for people who want to get involved in nature and space exploration. Our products include Astronomy Telescope, Astronomy Camera, Astronomy Accessories, Microscope and more.
We sincerely hope that under the influence of SVBONY, more people will fall in love with exploring the starry sky
Behind the SVBONY products, there is a team in which everyone is creative, collaborative and responsible. Weve made a niche category, the reason is that we want people to see more realistic images in the original way, instead of just upgrading the camera on the phone.
We do think optics products are practical and educational, which connects people to the world, not just for a small part of person, but for everyone. SVBONY leads us to a more beautiful world which we usually can’t see, and we want to bring this beauty to everyone.
