Step 1: Webbing/Stitches Grasp webbing in your hands approximately 6 in. (152mm) to 8 in. (203mm) apart. Bend webbing in an inverted “U” as shown. (Illustration 6) The resulting surface tension will allow easier detection of damaged fibers or cuts. Follow this procedure along the entire length of the webbing, inspecting both sides of each strap. Watch for frayed edges, broken fibers, pulled stitches, cuts, burns, and chemical damage.
Step 2: D-Rings Check D-rings for distortion, cracks, breaks, and rough or sharp edges. D-ring should pivot freely. Inspect for any unusual wear, frayed, or cut fibers, or broken stitching of the D-ring attachments. If inspection reveals any defect, inadequate maintenance, or unsafe condition, remove Cross Arm Anchor Strap from service immediately.

LIGHTWEIGHTThe Malta Dynamics Cross Arm Strap Anchors are made with ultra-lightweight materials for easy install and transport. The 4’ length weighs just 1.2 lbs. and 6’ strap weighs under 1.5 lbs. |
EASY INSTALLWhen working with temporary anchors, they should be easy to install. These anchors can be installed in minutes by looping the strap around a beam and threading the smaller D-Ring through the larger D-Ring. |
NO DAMAGEStaying safe should be your priority. Sometimes it’s hard to anchor safely to a surface without leaving holes that must be filled after removal of the anchor, but these anchors are reusable with dual reinforced webbing and heavy duty stitching and leave no lasting damage. |
