It can measure UVA and UVB light (but not UVC) and calculate their indexes during days of intense sunlight radiation.
The UV index reading allows user to determine with accuracy the potential level of harmful ultraviolet light exposure,and to take appropriate steps of avoidance or protection from sunlight when the index is too high.

HOW TO CHECK UV INDEX?
Press the “UV Check” button to read the index by pointing the UV sensor directly toward the sun. LCD display shows the UV index reading.

NOTE!
The measure taken will be inaccurate when the sunlight is not fully covered the UV sensor!
