Description

Standard DOT Reflective Glass Beads: AASHTO Type 1 glass beads are used to create reflective markings for roads, highways, streets, curbs, concrete, parking lots, airports, driveways, pavement marking tape and more. These glass beads can either be applied to freshly painted surfaces or it can be used with a line striping dispenser to be applied with the paint. These beads can be applied to water based paint, oil based paint, alkyd coatings, hydrocarbon thermoplastic, methylmethacrylate, and epoxies . Simply sprinkle the glass beads over the paint or coating while wet. Or follow the instructions on your pavement marking equipment. Let dry completely before use. Approximately 5 pounds of glass beads will coat 1 gallon of paint. For arts & crafts, these beads can be used to create reflective effects in mixed media applications. Also great for weighted blankets and sand blasting. **Heavy application on walkways is not recommended. Beads may become slippery based on the application/adhesive used. DO NOT USE on wide markings where foot traffic will occur.
