It is strong and compact while being 8x stronger than steel by weight, with a thermal decomposition threshold of 930 degrees Fahrenheit, and is totally resistant to acids, alkalis, and seawater.
While Technora Survival Cord is abrasion resistant, has a low creep and low thermal shrinkage with excellent dimensional stability; the main benefit of ASR Outdoor Terchnora 400lb Survival Cord is that it is more durable than standard 550lb paracord, at less than half the diameter.
