Description

In todays world with a high sense of consumption, every manufacturer of electrical and electronic products must try their best to make their products safe. Every product must be designed as far as possible so that the user does not have the chance to be electrified. Even if the wrong use occurs by the user, there should be no chance of induction. In order to meet the generally accepted safety requirements, the "withstand voltage tester" must be used. At present, safety enforcement agencies, such as UL CSA IEC BSI VDE TUV and JSI, require manufacturers to use "withstand voltage testers" as safety tests when designing and producing electronic or electrical products.

Front panel description

  1. power switch :is marked with the international standard "1" (ON) and "0" (OFF) symbol as the input power switch.
  2. RESET switch: The red instantaneous contact switch also contains the indicator light of FAIL. When setting the mode, it has the same function as the EXIT key and can be used as a switch to leave the setting mode.During the test, it is used as a switch to turn off the alarm sound and enter the next state to be tested. When the test is in progress, it can also be used as a switch to interrupt the test. When the object fails the test, the red indicator light will be lit.
  3. TEST switch :The green instantaneous contact switch also contains the indicator light of PASS as the starting switch for the test. The green light will light up when the object to be tested passes the test.
  4. SET key : As an operation key for selecting to enter the setting mode and to select memory groups, test items, AC or DC withstand voltage tests and their parameter settings, and insulation resistance tests and their parameter settings, as well as keyboard locking keys.
  5. DOWN key: When setting the mode, the function key is used as the function mode selection and the numerical input of various test parameters, and as the whole key of output voltage adjustment during the test.
  6. UP key: When setting the mode, the function key is used as the function mode selection and the numerical input of various test parameters, and as the output voltage up integral key during the test.
  7. EXIT key:As a function key to leave the setting mode.
  8. High voltage output terminal:Special output terminal, can withstand high voltage above 20KV.
  9. Loop (RETURN) terminal : Special terminals can maintain good contact.
  10. LCD display: 16 x 2-line backlit LCD is used as a display to display setting data or test results.
  11. High voltage mark:When the instrument starts to output voltage, the indicator light in the high voltage sign flashes, indicating "medium and dangerous high voltage output".

Lock and unlock the program:

  • First press and hold the "SET" key on the front panel, and then turn on the input power switch of the instrument. When the power is turned on, release the button, and the LCD will display:1
  • After a short period of time, the program will automatically enter the boot mode, and the LCD will display:2
  • Then the program will enter the mode to be tested, and the LCD will display:3
  • If you want to change the locking mode from "ON" to "OFF" or from "OFF" to "ON", please turn off the input power switch of this instrument first, and then boot according to the above procedure # 1, the program will automatically change the locking mode.
  • .After the setting is completed, the setting parameters are automatically stored in memory without having to operate any other keys.
  • When the keyboard is locked, all the keys on the panel, including the call memory program group, except for the TEST and RESET switches, are locked and cannot be operated.

Safety instructions (Including but not limited to the following)

Never use a voltage tester on a live circuit or equipment !!!

  1. ‧Before using this voltage tester, please know the safety signs used and related to this machine for safety.
  2. ‧The safety specification quoted by this instrument is the regulation of Safety Class I.(The body has a grounding terminal for protection).
  3. ‧Before turning on the input power switch of this machine, please select the correct input voltage (115V or 230V input) specification.
  4. The voltage and current generated by the withstand voltage tester are sufficient to cause injury or induction. in order to prevent accidental injury or death, be sure to observe carefully before moving and using the instrument.
  5. User maintenance :In order to prevent the occurrence of inductance, please do not lift the lid of the instrument. All the internal parts of this instrument absolutely do not need the maintenance of the user.
  6. Working position:The location of the workstation must be arranged in places that are not necessary for ordinary personnel to keep non-staff away from the workstation. If the high voltage test station is very close to other operating stations, special attention must be paid to safety. When testing under high pressure, it must be marked "dangerous!" The high pressure test is in progress, please stay away from non-staff.
  7. Workplace :Use a workbench made of non-conductive material whenever possible. No metal shall be used between the operator and the object to be tested. The position of the operator shall not operate or adjust the voltage tester beyond the object to be tested. The test site must be kept neat and clean at all times and should not be disorganized. Please fix the instruments and test lines that are not in use, and make sure that all personnel can immediately distinguish between the objects being tested, the objects to be tested, and the tested objects.
  8. The air around the test station and its surroundings should not contain combustible gases or use a pressure tester next to flammable materials.
  9. Safety code :Operators must be educated and trained at any time to understand the importance of various operating rules and operate voltage testers in accordance with safety rules.
  10. Dress code :Operators are not allowed to wear metal decorated clothes or wear metal jewelry and watches, etc., these metal ornaments can easily be made into unexpected inductance. When accidentally electrified, the consequences will be more serious.
  11. Medical regulations :The withstand voltage tester should never be operated by a person who has a heart attack or is wearing a pacemaker.

The following safety points must be kept in mind:

  • ‧ Unqualified operators and unrelated personnel should stay away from the high voltage test area.
  • ‧ Keep the high voltage test area in a safe and orderly state at all times.
  • ‧ Never touch the test object or any object connected to the object under test during the high pressure test.
  • ‧ In case of any problems, please turn off the high voltage output and input power immediately.
  • ‧ After the DC withstand voltage test, the test line must be discharged properly before the test line can be removed.
