This typewriter is truly an OFFICE TYPEWRITER. Anyone can walk up to this machine and start typing without reading the book. It was made in New York in the 1970/1980s and Remade in Kansas. The only new typewriters made now come from China and like the new phones they are small plastic toys that will do everything but the dishes but you have to red the book every time you use it. This machine does what a typewriter is supposed to do ….. leave the rest for the computers.
