COMPLETE KIT & TOOLSOur electric box extender kit has everything you need to raise those recessed electrical outlets. Upon purchase, youll receive (6 pcs.) red spacers, (4 pcs.) 2" screws for deeper recessed outlets, and (12 pcs.) 1.5" screws. All these come in a handy resealable bag which you can use to store unused spacers and screws for future use. For the installation, you will need a ruler or tape measure, sharp scissors or a utility knife to cut the rubber spacers, and a screwdriver. |
STEP-BY-STEP INSTALLATIONYou dont need to call an electrician to install these spacers as long as you follow all the safety precautions, first of which is turning off your main power panel and flipping the circuit breaker to "OFF" (PRO TIP: Use a Voltage Tester Pen to check there is no power to the outlets you are fixing) . After that, its just a matter of removing the cover plate, preparing and installing the spacers, and screwing everything back into place.
