Sterlitech quantitative cellulose filters are manufactured with refined pulp and are acid washed to have an extremely low ash content of <0.01%. These filters are ideal for cold filtration to remove lipids, waxes, and for the clarification or plant debris removal. Commonly used with glass microanalysis holders or Buchner funnels in vacuum assisted filtration. Applications: Cold-filtration to remove lipids or waxes, clarification or plant debris removal, bacterial removal (using 0.2 or 0.45 micron PES filters), and ethanol washing.
