RTD temperature probe for Traeger Installation

Carefully remove the screw and lock nut from the RTD mounting bracket. RTD probe inserted into the RTD Mounting Hole of the digital thermostat panel, tighten the screws.

Meat temperature probe with clips

Press the "Probe Selector" button on the control board to read the temp of the meat probe. The controller will revert back to the grill temp after 5 seconds. Ensure the meat temp probe is at least half the thickness of the meat. Make sure the probe is not inserted into the fatty portion and bone.

Fault Code of Unidanho Upgraded Traeger Temperature Controller

ErH - Means the temperature is too high, pls turn off the ignition rod, motor, and turn off the fan for 10 minutes.

Er1 - Means the probe is faulty, pls turn off the ignition rod, motor, and fan for 10 minutes.

ErL - Means the heating rod has been working for more than 30 minutes for a long time, pls turn off the ignition rod, motor, and fan for 10 minutes.

ErP - Means the knob is not in "OFF" position after power-on, to prevent the system from restarting after accidental power-off.

Adjustment of “P” (Smoke) Settings

Adjust: Turn the controller knob to "225". Use any small pointed object (a bent paper clip works well) to depress the "JK1" button located inside.

Note: Once Smoke adjustment is made, the temp on the digital readout should be monitored. If the temp is consistently below 160°F while “Smoking”, there is a risk of losing fire in the firepot. If your fire should go out while “Smoking”, turn the controller to "OFF" position. DONT attempt to restart the grill until you complete the recovery process.
