Dielectric mirror coatings are more durable and more reflective than enhanced aluminum coatings. Diagonal provides a comfortable 90-degree viewing orientation when observing the night sky through a refractor, Maksutov-Cassegrain (Mak-Cass) or Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope.
