Description

Bearlok

Whittet-Higgins Bearlok for bearing & power transmission retaining consists of base-nut, compression-ring, and socket head cap screws. The base nut has a thick walled main body, a thin externally tapered back that is slit, and threaded bore. The ring has the same outer diameter as the main body of the nut, with a tapered bore matching that of the back of the nut. By tightening the socket cap screws, the ring is tightened against the nut. The tapered bore drives the sections of the rear of the nut radially inward, evenly securing the nut onto the shaft
