Solar Cables from Valemo

VALEMOVALEMO

About us and our products

A: Valemo Controls focuses on improving peoples DIY experiences by providing them the energy-efficient products, such as solar cables and zone valves.

Q: Why should we choose Valemos solar cables?

A: There are two reasons. First, our cables are designed to expose to the sun and rain, heat and cold for 25 years. Someone may find them kind of stiff but it is what outdoor cables should be. Soft cables are easy to handle but they can only work indoors, or outdoors temporarily. Second, our cables are unique because the two wires are attached to each other instead of seperated. In this case, the whole cable is easy to carry without the tangle of two single wires.

Q: What do solar cables do in a solar system?

A: Solar cables are used to connect solar panels to inverters, to transfer the DC current generated by solar panels to inverters, which invert the DC power to AC power, making it usable by most of the household electrical appliances.

Q: Why should we use solar cables instead of normal power cords?

A: One end of the solar cables are connected with solar panels, which are exposed to the sun. Therefore, solar cables have to withstand the extremes of weather. In addition, once a solar system is installed, it is not easy for maintenance since the panels are usually in a high place, so all the components including solar cables must be robust enough.

Q: What options do you offer for your solar cables?

A: We offer two specifications: 10 AWG and 12 AWG. There are 5 lengths for each specification: 10 feet, 20 feet, 30 feet, 40 feet and 50 feet.

Q: Where are solar cables used?

A: Solar cables are usually used to connect solar panels to inverters, therefore anywhere there are solar panels, such as house roof, recreation vehicles, yachts, you will see solar cables.

Q: Why is a pair of plastic keys included in the package?

A: Solar cable connectors are easy to plug in, but difficult to disconnect. The keys can be used to disconnect the male and female plugs. Please see the video on the product page on how to disconnect the plugs. Please note the keys are not for removing the connectors from the wires, because the connectors are tightened by machine in factory, and they will be damaged and cannot be used again after separating from the wires.
