Checking Your DisplayPort (DP) Version:

If youre using a Windows device, you can know which version of DP you have by checking your CPU generation.

  1. DP version 1.2 if your CPU is Intel generation 10 or earlier.
  2. DP version 1.4 if your CPU is Intel generation 11 or later.
  3. DP version 1.4 if youre using a workstation laptop with an NVIDIA GPU.

If youre using a MacBook, iMac, or iPad, you can find your DP version from the list below:

  1. DP 1.4: iPad Pro (3rd generation and later), MacBook Pro ( 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021), MacBook Air (2020), MacBook Air (13-inch, M1, 2020), iMac (2017 and later), iMac Pro (2017 and later)
  2. DP 1.2: iPad Air (4th generation), MacBook Air (2018), MacBook Pro (2016), Mac mini (2018)

*Note About Display on macOS System: macOS only support SST (Single-Stream Transport). And macOS and iPadOS dont support MST(Multi-Stream Transport) due to the limitation of macOS System itself.

How can I judge if the docking station is compatible with my device?

Please make sure that your laptops USB-C port is fully functional(Power Delivery+Data Transfer+DisplayPort Alt Mode), or you will not be able to expand some function normally. If you are not sure, please let us know before purchasing.

Does it support MST On MacBook？

Due to the restriction of macOS itself, all extended screen will be the same. But our docking station is still compatible with MacBook, in the expansion mode, at most one different screen content can be realized, such as A+B+B+B.

Does the indicator light help?

The indicator light can help identify whether the USB-C port of the laptop supports the display output. If not, the indicator light will start to flash when using the HDMI/VGA port.

Do I need to install the driver to use the HDMI adapter?

No, just plug and use.
