Store it in the FreezerPlace the bag in the freezer. When you want your bread, just take the slices you intend to eat from the bag. Simply heat the slice on a pan or allow for them to defrost. |
Homemade sourdough bread preservative-free stays fresh for 2-3 days top, if you roll the air out from our blue bag and store it in a kitchen drawer it will keep it for up to 4 days. If you want to keep it for longer simply slice it and store it in the freezer for up to 3 months.
There is no need to wash the bags after every use, simply get rid of the crumbs by pulling the inside or the double lining out. Hand wash only if necessary, preferably at 30℃ or below.

In our opinion yes they do a better job at keeping the original fragrance of home baked bread for longer. The difference is that our bags are handmade and will allow a small amount of air through, which will maintain the fragrance and crunch. As opposed to the single-use solid plastic bags which will seal the bread from more air, trapping the moisture inside that will soften the crust and alter the flavour.
Yes, because a bread box will allow more air inside and around the bread, making it dry out faster. If you already have a bread box, that is a great place to store our bags with your bread inside. The combination of the two will generally stretch even more the freshness of your loaves.
No! You can soften the hard part with a bit of water and gently warm it up in the oven, make it to breadcrumbs, croutons, thicken soups, pudding base and more!
