Description
Installation steps:
First remove the valve cover, remove the rocker arm and rocker arm guide
Next place the bottom aluminum plate where the rocker arm bolts are mounted and the middle section on top of the one with the studs and mount it on the head with 2 bolts, making sure the tool is set between the two valve springs. Hand tighten with a wrench and socket. Do not over tighten, if you use impact it will cause damage to the head.
Place the top on the two valve springs and install the nuts. As shown in the scene diagram. Note: Always make sure the studs are greased.
If you are using the head on an engine mounted head, then you will want to use a fitting of compressed air in the spark plug hole to keep the valve pushed close before tightening.
Do not use impact as this will cause the nut to overheat and strip the threads! , only tighten the nut manually and slowly.
To keep them from falling into the head, after compressing the spring, you can use a magnet to remove the valve retainer
After removing the retainer, you need to slowly reverse the nut to release the pressure and remove the spring.
Install the New spring using the same procedure. Hold it in place properly before releasing the pressure and make sure it is in place when you reinstall the valve retainer
