Care Instructions

（1）How to wash and protect silk pillowcases?

The water temperature should not exceed 40°C, because higher than 40°C will affect the strength and structure of the silk fiber. Do not soak for more than 10 minutes, and do not scrub vigorously.

（2）Why are silk pillowcases prone to yellowing?

The protein of silk itself is denatured and turns yellow

  • 1. Dry in a cool and ventilated place to prevent direct sunlight
  • 2. Add rice water or white vinegar lemon when cleaning the silk pillowcase, they can clean the remaining oil and yellow stains in the silk pillowcase, and then perform regular washing

（3）How to prevent the silk pillowcase from fading?

The color fastness of silk pillowcases is poor. To prevent color fading, add 5% white vinegar to the water and soak the silk pillowcases for 2 minutes, which can achieve a certain degree of color fixation.

Do not use washing powder, because washing powder will denature protein and cause wrinkles in silk fabrics. Please use a special silk detergent.
