How To Play Shut The Box Slide
The game play is very simple. You have to throw the two dice and add the two numbers facing up. Then slide corresponding tiles that equal the total amount of the two numbers that you have got.
The aim of the game is to use up as many slides as possible before the game is over so that you have the lowest penalty score. All the numbers left uncovered after the game is over is counted as penality.
The game can be played alone or with 2 – 4 players. At the beginning of the game all the spaces are open, and numbers exposed.
The player who rolls the highest number starts first. Each player rolls the dice and covers the corresponding numbered spaces. For example, is someone rolled 3 and 6 the total is 9. Now the player can either cover the number 9 with one slide or 3 and 6 or 1,3 and 5, or 4 and 5, etc. to get the 9. The addition of the numbers left open is the players score. The next player then rolls and plays, this goes on until no numbers are left open or there are no combinations of numbers available to correspond with the roll. The player with the lowest score is the winner.
