BSA Derby Car wheels are well designed, unfortunately, the wheels vary drastically from mold to mold. Most of the wheels are not perfectly round and the tread surface is not even. Our Maximum Velocity Speed Wheels are machined from official BSA wheels. First, they are sorted by mold number to ensure to the bore diameter and other wheel measurements are identical. Next, the wheels are precision machined on the outer diameter and inner edge to tight tolerances with a CNC (computerized) lathe, using proprietary fixtures and tooling.
