Block out Harmful RaysWe offer various VLT (Visible Light Transmission) Percentage Tints from 5% upwards to 80%. The lower the percent the darker the tint, in other words 5% is considered limo tint, where as 35% and above is more along the lines of some factory tint. |
What Does VLT Mean and Why is it important?
VLT or Visible Light Transmission is essentially the amount of visible light (i.e. sun rays) that will be able to be passed, the lower the number the less percentage amount that will be able to be passed (darker tint).
Why is this important you may ask? For several reason, First off to have knowledge of what you are buying in comparison to your state laws always be sure to abide by them regarding tint. Secondly, it will let you know how much light/rays/glare youll be susceptible too. If you are wanting very dark tint, which means virtually little to no light will pass through then you will be around 5% if you are wanting to just block some but not have dark tint so more visible tint then youll be around the 35% + .
