Description
Set of 300 Insect Pins - Sizes 1, 2 and 3, each with their own labeled storage vial. Phusis (means "Nature" in Greek) insect pins are made from high quality stainless steel with a resin head. Stainless steel insect pins are essential for preserving your specimens. Do not use sewing pins for your insect collections!
Phusis insect pins come in sturdy, safe plastic vials (not paper packets or plastic bags). This packaging method keeps your pins organized, prevents lost pins and is efficient for storing your pins.
Each pin is 40mm (just over 1.5 in) in length.
Dimensions for each size of pin:
#00 - 40mm x 0.27mm - very small insects (flies, ants)
#0 - 40mm x 0.29mm - small insects (fireflies, houseflies)
#1 - 40mm x 0.32mm - small insects (spiders, yellow jackets)
#2 - 40mm x 0.38mm - small butterflies and moths
#3 - 40mm x 0.45mm - medium-sized butterflies and moths
