Great for entomology students, insect collectors, and butterfly artists, these polyethylene, close-celled, foam spreading boards are a necessity for mounting and spreading butterfly wings. Boards measure 12" long, 5" wide, and 2" deep. Their large size allows for working with even large butterflies like monarchs and swallowtails. The groove measures 7/16" x 7/16" and is set at a 90 degree angle. Dense polyethylene boards are an inexpensive option for spreading butterflies, but are much easier to work with than the loose cell Styrofoam boards often found on the market.
