Stumps (Stomps) and TortillionsStumps are traditional blending tools for pastels, charcoal, and graphite pencil drawings. Stumps are best used for blending larger areas. Tortillions are used for smudging pencil, charcoal, and pastel works. Tortillions work best blending in tighter areas. When the ends of either become dirty or worn, the ends can be sanded clean (and shaped to custom points) with the Sanding Pad, also included in the set. |
