Place the pellet smoker tube vertically into the hexagonal holes of the tray (the tray can be placed on the ground or another platform)
Filling the flue smoke tube with a sufficient amount of wood pellet fuel
Light the wood pellets in the smoke pipe with a butane torch (burn for 1-2 minutes to fully combust the fuel).
Keep the fuel in the pipe burning for 3-5 minutes, then blow out the flame.
Attach the cold smoke tube end cap (the pipe end cap prevents wood pellets from falling out).
Place the smoke tube flat on the pallet support to hold it in place. (Tray collects ash from burning fuel)
When ready, place the smoker tube in working condition in the proper position on the gas grill or smoker for grill cooking.

When using a traditional smoke tube, the fuel should not be filled too full, but about 2/3 full, as this will result in a very short burn time. If you overfill the pipe, the fuel will fall out.
