Are these acrylic paints and how well do they work on canvas?
Yes the fabric paints are acrylic and work extremely well on canvas, canvas shoes, etc.
Do these fabric paints work on leather?
Yes, however it is always best to prepare the leather before you begin - for example, remove any coatings, waxes or oils that may be on the surface of the leather. We also recommend testing the paint on a small area first.
Does the paint come off fabric and clothing when it is washed?
No, the paint is permanent. After you ‘set’ the paint by ironing (after 12-24 hrs of painting) you can wash the garment or fabric 72 hours later.
Does the paint allow careful 3D build up layer-by-layer, and is the end result have a ‘plastic’ finish?
The paints do come out as a thick, stable gel, and they layer well as long as you let each layer dry before applying the next one. The end result has a pleasing shiny plastic finish.
Can the paint be used on hard surfaces such as plastic, wood, etc?
Yes, the paint is suitable for plastic, wood, shells, rocks... but always spray them with a clear protective coat when dry.
Specially formulated for fabrics in bright and brilliant shades, including metallics and fluorescents, the paint expands for amazing 3D effects as it dries; blend and mix to create any color you please; 3 brushes are included to spread the effect.
Apply direct to so many surfaces - card, cotton, wood, canvas, ceramics, glass and more – to transform t-shirts, trainers, backpacks, jugs, mugs… whatever. The paints are color-fast, permanent, non-bleed, non-toxic.
Make the most of fabric paint’s creative possibilities by snipping the soft tip to regulate the paint flow - from thin lines to broad brushstrokes to dots and stippling. Or you can apply with precision using a brush.
