At-a-glance Solar UtilizationInsight into your solar efficiency starts with a view on what’s happening now, but goes so much further. |
Real-time Production and UsageSee exactly how much energy you’re producing, using and selling back to the grid continuously, in real time. |
Learn Your Home’s Energy ProfileTrack how much energy you’re making and using over time to see what patterns emerge. You’ll get detail by day, week, month, year, and billing cycle. You might be surprised by what you learn. |
Use More of What You MakeSee how much electricity you consume from solar or the grid, the excess electricity you sell back, and exactly how much of your home is powered by your solar system. We want to help you get to net-zero. |

Save Energy and MoneyUnderstanding how much energy your home is using, when and where, empowers you to find savings. Sense gives you the tools to break it down and take action. |
See What’s OnGet a view into your home you can’t get anywhere else. See when the garage door opened, the television turned on, or when the dryer finished its cycle. Sense can monitor many devices, but we can’t ensure it will track everything. Certain devices may not be detected due to their unique signature, like low-wattage LED light bulbs or variable speed motors in certain heat and pool pumps. |
Avoid DisasterSure, it’s convenient to know when certain devices turn on and off, but it may just save your house, too. Heavy rains? See if your sump pump is running, or running too much! Think you forgot to turn off the oven? Set an alert to inform you if it’s been on for over an hour. |
Track Time-of-Use RatesIf you’re on a Time-of-Use rate plan, you can input your rate zones for more accurate billing and historical costs. You can even set push notifications to alert you when entering peak zones. |

Machine Learning Device DetectionAs Sense tracks your home’s energy, it begins to recognize most appliances and other devices that use more than 60 watts. Typically, the Sense monitor detects 12 devices in the first month after it’s installed and 25-30 devices after 12 months. |
Useful IntegrationsSense integrates with select IoT devices to give you more control, with your voice or inside the Sense app. See what’s possible when you link Sense with Hue, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and smart plugs from TP-Link/Kasa and Wemo. |
Rigorously Tested For SafetyAny device inside your electrical panel should be designed and certified to meet the highest safety standards. In addition to extensive in-house testing, the Sense monitor has been tested to UL and IEC standards for safety, and certified by ETL/Intertek as safe to install in your electrical panel. |
CompatibilitySense Solar is compatible with most solar systems – those that connect directly to the main electrical panel, either breaker-fed or service-side tap. |
