DOES YOUR HOT WATER STINK LIKE ROTTEN EGGS?

If your water smells like sulfur or rotten eggs, it might be due to sulfur b. interacting with the standard magnesium anode rod in your water heater tank. This reaction produces hydrogen sulfide gas, which not only generates an unpleasant and embarrassing odor but can also corrode your homes plumbing pipes and shorten the lifespan of your water heater.

WE HAVE THE SOLUTION TO YOUR SMELLY WATER PROBLEM

By replacing your heater’s old magnesium anode with one made of an aluminum-zinc (Al-Zn alloy) anode rod for hot water heater, you will put an end to the reaction, and the smell.

This hex head anode anode is a 44” long continuous rod, making it a direct replacement for the “solid” anode your tank shipped with.

NOTE 1: A flexible anode version is also available if your ceiling doesnt have enough clearance for a solid rod.

NOTE 2: If a water softener is in use, we recommend using a "powered anode” like the Corro-Protec 40-89 gallon (B01H459TAK) or the Ceranode (B01KIMC91W).
