STEP 1. Be sure to turn off water heater first Turn off the power to the water pump, gas supply, and electrical power to the water heater

STEP 2. Remove anode and drain water heater Use the socket wrench to remove the anode rod, which also serves as a drain plug.

STEP 3. Rinse water heater Attach the RV Heater rinse nozzle to your hose and use it to thoroughly rinse out the tank. Allow tank to fill up a bit and let all the water flow out a few times.

STEP 4. Replace new anode rode Apply PTFE tape to the threads of the anode to ensure a good seal. Replace and tighten securely with the socket wrench.
