Feature

●PROTECT YOUR RV WATER HEATER. Anode rod act as a powerful filter for the water stored in the heater, protecting your RV water heater from corrosion and help to prolong the life of the water heater. Anode rods absorbs the corrosive action caused by hot water and prolongs the life of your water heater tank
●EXTRA DURABLE. RV water heater anode rod is made from superior quality magnesium guaranteeing longer life for water heater unlike classic aluminum zinc rod
●COMPATIBILITY. Magnesium anode rod is 9.25” long with 3/4” NPT threads and is compatible with Suburban and Mor-Flo water tanks. Use a 1-1/16 inch socket to install (socket not included)
●EASY INSTALLATION. Anode rod can be replaced very quick and easy. We included a roll of PTFE tape needed for tightening the screw and prevent looseness. Package includes: 1 magnesium anode rod and 1 roll of PTFE tape
●SAFE MATERIAL. This anode rod is made of non-toxic magnesium, compared with aluminum or aluminum zinc, magnesium is not potentially dangerous and safer for human body

  • Why do I need to replace the anode rod? When the anode rod is consumed, your tank will corrode faster. The water tank is in danger of leaking water and you are in danger of being hit! Inspect regularly, anode rod should be replaced annually or when the corrosion has eaten approximately 75% of the rod’s mass.

  • How does it work? Hot water increases the erosion of the iron tank caused by oxygen and water or other corrosive elements. If your water heater has an installed anode rod, the rod will be corroded instead of your tank. The principle of this reaction is that magnesium metal is more active than iron.

  • What is the difference between magnesium and aluminum anode rods? Magnesium rods are more active than aluminum or aluminum zinc rods. It means that magnesium rods will be corroded faster but work and protect better.

STEP 1. Be sure to turn off water heater first

Turn off the power to the water pump, gas supply, and electrical power to the water heater

STEP 2. Remove anode and drain water heater

Use the socket wrench to remove the anode rod, which also serves as a drain plug.

STEP 3. Rinse water heater

Attach the RV Heater rinse nozzle to your hose and use it to thoroughly rinse out the tank. Allow tank to fill up a bit and let all the water flow out a few times.

STEP 4. Replace new anode rode

Apply PTFE tape to the threads of the anode to ensure a good seal. Replace and tighten securely with the socket wrench.
