Step1

Turn off the power to the water pump, gas supply, and electrical power to the water heater.

Remove the corroded anode rod and drain water heater

Remove the corroded anode rod with a socket wrench And drain the water heater.

STEP 3. Flush water tank

Flush out the sediment from the bottom of the tank thoroughly.

STEP 4. Replace new anode rode

Apply PTFE tape to the threads of the anode to ensure a good seal. Replace and tighten securely with the socket wrench.
