DETECT AND IDENTIFY COMMON WIRING FAULTS
1. OPEN HOT: When the outlet tester is turned on and not connected to the socket, the screen displays an "OPEN HOT", which prompts that the circuit is not connected.
2. CORRECT: When the electrical outlet tester is connected to the socket, the LCD displays the voltage value and "CORRECT", and the green light is on, which indicates correct wiring.
3. OPEN NEU: When the receptacle tester is connected to the socket, the LCD displays “OPEN NEU” and the voltage between the hot wire and the ground wire is more than AC 30V, and the red light is on, which indicates the wiring error.
4. OPEN GRD: When the plug tester is connected to the socket, the screen displays "OPEN GRD" and the voltage value between the hot wire and the neutral wire as is shown in the picture, and the red light is on, which indicates the wiring error.
5. HOT/GRD REV: When the circuit tester is connected to the socket, the LCD displays “HOT/GRD REV" and the voltage between the hot wire and ground wire is more than AC 30V, and the red light is on, which indicates the wiring error.
6. HOT/NEU REV: When the outlet checker is connected to the socket, the LCD displays “HOT/NEU REV" and the voltage value between the hot wire and neutral wire as is shown in the picture, and the red light is on, which indicates the wiring error.
