MSD 8360 Pro-Billet Ready-to-Run Distributor
The Pro-Billet Ready-to-Run distributor is the perfect upgrade for outdated points distributors or bulky HEIs. All that is required is to install the distributor in the engine, connect three wires and the coil!
A maintenance-free magnetic pickup accurately triggers this ignition. The increased output of the amplifier easily outperforms stock ignitions and will smooth out the engines idle, improve starting and provide a much higher rpm range.
For stability and endurance, an oversized steel shaft spins in a top mounted sealed ball bearing while an extra long sintered bushing guides the shaft at the base of the housing. This shaft also receives a QPQ coating for low friction wear and resistance against corrosion from humidity and ozone buildup.
The Ready-to-Run features MSDs adjustable mechanical advance which allows you to custom tailor an ignition curve to match your engines needs. There is also a vacuum advance canister to help improve economy. For positive street performance, the Ready-to-Run is the best choice.
NOTE: Supplied with a cap, rotor and vacuum advance. If replacing a GM HEI, a Blaster SS coil and coil wire are required (this is available in a kit, PN 8474).
