Simple DIY Installation
RT Rim Protectors simply stick to the face of the outer lip of wheel, which can be done without removing the wheel or tire.
RT Rim Protectors fit most flat or slightly curved wheels. They will not fit on wheels with cut out sections in lip or raised spokes at lip. Email a picture of your wheel if you are not sure.
Fits Most Tesla Wheels
RT Rim Protectors are perfect for Tesla Model S, X, Y and 3. ¼ inch fits Slipstream, Arachnid, Cyclone, Turbine, Helix, Uber Turbine, Induction, Stiletto and Aero wheels. 3/8 inch fits Slipstream, Turbine, Uber Turbine, Induction and Stiletto wheels
Fitting Guide
- Wearing gloves, clean wheel lip with rubbing alcohol towels. wipe the wheel lip with alcohol wipe.
- Apply promoter with gentle, thorough strokes to outer lip of rim. Allow to set for up to 5 mins.
- Peel 1" of backing tape and apply trim so guide lip is resting on outer edge of wheel lip.
- Continue 1" at a time using guide lip to line up. Pull backing tape from under rim trim & press down
- Cut / Trim Excess - Cut rim trim as well as you can so that the ends but up with no overlap.
- Wipe promoter over seam where clip will be applied. Remove backing tape and apply clip.
- Press down rim trim & clip. Use alcohol to clean any promoter. Adhesive takes 36 hrs to fully bond.
- You can drive immediately after installation. Do not apply any cleaning chemicals for 1 week.
