Description

This is a k-type thermocouple wire with yellow braided fiberglass insulation, which is usable up to about 752 °F Fahrenheit or 400 °C Celsius. This k-type thermocouple wire can be used to make your own Type K thermocouple for a wide range of applications, or to make your own Type k extension wire. K-type thermocouples are made from chromel / alumel wire, this K-type wire is made to standard K-type thermocouple specification. The thermocouple wire has a double fiberglass insulation, with the inner insulation color coded to ANSI K-type colors, which are yellow for + and red for -. It is sold in 10 yard (30 ft) spools. K-type thermocouples are used in many scientific, HVAC and industrial applications, they can be used to measure oven, furnace and kiln temperatures, as well as a wide range of machines and equipment. They can also be used in coolers, refridgerators and freezers. A Type K thermocouple can be attached to objects like pipes or machine parts. K-type thermocouples can also measure non corrosive liquids.
