I see the comment section describing the inconvenience of shaving the claws after installing the protective head?
Animals have narrow paw gaps, please remove the protective head (limiting comb) and then trim the paws, this will be more applicable.
Is this a ceramic or plastic blade?
Definitely a ceramic blade. If it is a plastic blade, the heat of use will cause the plastic to wear out or melt. Please avoid dropping the ceramic blade during use to break it.
How do I clean and oil the blades? Are the blades removable?
Clean the blade with a brush first, then drop a few drops of lubricating oil into the blade, and turn on The Dog Clipperse for a few seconds, and finally wipe off the excess oil.
What is the decible level about paw claw trimmer?
It is very quiet - my dog does not like loud noises and vibrations and these clippers do not bother her at all.
Do the blades get hot?
This is a normal phenomenon. Paw hair clippers operate with constant friction thus trimming hair. The design of the ceramic blades and the use of a drop of oil on the blades before use can greatly reduce the heat (almost never get hot).
