Feature

●[HSS]: Regular High speed steel, Heat treated and Hardened (HRC58 - 61) to provide good shock resistance and wear resistance. Suitable for regular working on Brass, Aluminum, Plastic, Rubber, Wood, and nonferrous metal, or OCCASIONAL working on mild steel. Not for stainless steel or Hardened steel.
●[Industrial]: Pre-ground and Sharpened. Dimensions and tolerance are made to the industrial standards. Cut fast and leave a very smooth finish.
●[8 pieces]: The tool bit set includes 1x External Grooving,1x Internal Thread, 1x External Thread, 1x Boring Bar, 1x 60 degree Right hand lathe, 1x 60 degree Left hand lathe, 1x 80 degree Right hand lathe, and 1x 80 degree Left hand lathe. The specification is laser marked on each tool bit, easy to identify even for new learners.
●[Shank]: 3/8" Shank. All four faces are CNC grinded to accurate size for tight fitting.
●[Operation tips]: Before mounting the tool, make sure the chuck is clean and without any chips so the tool bit can be held tight during operation. Use cooling oil for longer tool life. The tip is relatively sharp. If its too sharp for your application, you can always modify it. For more information, please check the Quick Use Guide included in the box.

Operation requirements

Rotation Speed (n): n = Vc ÷ (π x D)

* n: Number of Revolutions

* Vc: Cutting Speed (Range for HSS tool is 60 - 90 m/min, or 200 - 300 ft/min)

* D: Cutting Diameter

Example: if we want to keep the cutting speed at 250 ft/min and the cutting diameter for the object is 0.3ft, the calculation for the Rotation speed would be 250 ÷ (3.14 x 0.3) = 265. So "n" would need to be around 265 revolutions per min.

Feeding Speed (f)

Recommended range: 0.003 - 0.012 in per revolution.

Operation Tips

  • Make sure the chunk is clean and without any chips before mounting the tool so it can be held tight.
  • Use cooling oil for longer tool life.
  • The tip is relatively sharp. You can modify it if its too sharp for your application.
