This hammer, called BURIKIYA HAMMER in Japan, is useful for sheet metal work on tinplate and tin such as roofs and exterior walls. It can also be used for forming sheet metal, and tapping in tight spaces such as electrical work.
The wooden handle is durable Japanese natural oak. The more you use it, the more it fits in your hand. The handle is tapered for better grip.
We inspect all hammers before shipping them from Japan.
However, due to the difference in humidity between Japan and other countries, the wood may shrink, and the handles may become loose.
Make sure that the head is not loose before use. If there is looseness in the hammer head, take the following measures.
Pour water over the top of the head.
The wood will expand and stabilize the handle.
Tap the butt with another hammer or against the workbench.
Make sure there is no looseness before use.
