Description

The Y-strainer valve is useful for eliminating unwanted substances from liquid within a system. The efficiency of the Y-strainer depends on the mesh filter, which determines the size of particles that can pass through. Mesh size refers to the number of openings per inch of screen, with a lower number indicating smaller openings and smaller particles able to pass through. This valve is cost-effective and reduces the frequency of maintenance, leading to increased efficiency in the pipeline. The Y-strainer is constructed from stainless steel 316 material, which offers greater resistance to corrosion and rust, enhancing its durability. It is also versatile in its installation, as it can be mounted in either a vertical or horizontal position. Regular cleaning is necessary due to debris buildup, which can be accomplished by shutting down the line and removing the strainer cap. Y-strainers are typically installed near the drain plug for ease of removal. Inspection and maintenance intervals will depend on service conditions, and it is recommended to install two pressure gauges at the inlet and outlet to monitor pressure readings. During installation, align the Y-strainer with the directional flow arrow on the body, ensuring a vibration-free, non-bending, and stretching force-free pipeline. Finally, the Y-strainer should be installed vertically downwards, and the bottom cap should be tightly closed to prevent leakage. This Y-strainer has a working pressure of 800 PSI and a temperature range of -20°C to 230°C. There are 2 threaded NPT ends.
