Description
The 50 Amp Generator Power Inlet Box is designed to be installed in outdoor open spaces where generators are used, perfect for use as a backup power source during power outages.Compatible with SS2-50R Twist-Locking Female plug,as long as your cord is for a 3 prong inlet,the twist and lock generator cord is compatible to this inlet.It is specially designed for outdoor use to prevent generator engine noise and carbon monoxide smoke from entering your house. The generator transmits power to our inlet box to ensure that our household appliances can work normally when power is cut.
For waterproofing purposes they are not penetrated and will need to be to drill through. We recommend use a Step Drill Bit or Hole Cutter. With these two drill bits, it will be very easy to drill through them.
If you use a step drill bit it will be easier to drill a 1" hole. Just punch a small starting dimple in the center of the knockout, then drill a small hole for the step bit to start working and then use the step bit to slowly enlarge the hole to 1".
If you use a hole cutter,drill the 1.2 in hole on the back.
