How to Use:
Tip: Apply oil or grease to tools to them and make them work smoothly.Remove valve cover, rocker arm and rocker guide rail.
Place the bottom aluminum plate on the head where the rocker are mounted, and place the middle portion on the top stud and mount it to the head with the 2 provided, making sure the tool is set halfway between the 2 valve springs. Manually tighten using the ratchet and sleeve. Do not over tighten, as shock may damage the head if used.
Place the top on the 2 valve springs and install the attached nuts. Make sure there is grease on the studs.
If you use it on the head mounted to the engine, you will need to use a joint with compressed air in the hole to keep the valve closed before tightening.
Tighten the nut slowly only with hand tools do not use force as this will cause the nut to overheat and peel off the threads!
After compressing the springs, you can remove the valve retainers using magnets, which will prevent them from falling into the head.
After removing the retainer, you can reverse the nut and slowly release the pressure and remove the spring.
Install a new spring using the same procedure. Be sure to secure the valve retainers in place when reinstalling them so that they are fixed properly before releasing pressure.
