[FAQ]

I’m new to exercising, what fitness levels are required to be able to complete a Sweat Deck workout?

While we welcome all fitness levels, some of these workouts are very challenging. If you are a beginner, we recommend starting with the yellow cards first and work your way up from there. You can also use the cards with individual exercises to create your own workout---and scale up as your fitness levels progress.

What type of equipment do I need?

While you can complete most of the set workout routines without equipment, we recommend you have access to basic gym equipment (at the very least, pair of dumbbells and a pull-up bar). If you do not have access to any equipment, there are a number of body weight exercises and workouts to choose from. We include a card with equipment substitutions in the card deck.

I don’t know how to perform a specific exercise. Do you offer instructional videos demonstrating these exercises?

We currently do not offer instructional videos, but plan to do so in the future. Please do not perform an exercise you are not comfortable performing.

There are no prescribed weight requirements listed. How heavy should I be lifting?

Sweat Deck does not include a prescribed weight for you to use while performing exercises. YOU choose how easy or hard you want your workout to be. Always choose a weight you are comfortable using and scale up as your fitness levels improve.

What does AMRAP, Rounds for Time, For Time and EMOM mean?

AMRAP: As many rounds as possible (i.e, perform as many rounds as possible in a designated time period)

Rounds for Time: (perform X number of rounds and record your time)

For Time: (complete the entire workout as quickly as possible and record your time)

EMOM: “every minute on the minute” its when you begin a prescribed number of reps of an exercise at the top of a minute and then rest for whatever time you have left until the next top-of-minute.

Do these exercises have a time cap? Is there a recommended time in which I should be completing a specific exercise?

Sweat Deck exercises do not have a time cap or suggested completion time. YOU are your biggest competition.

Can I use the cards in a group or a boot camp class?

Yes! Sweat Deck workouts are a great way to get your friends together for a group workout or boot camp class. Challenge a friend to a card and get to work!
