Thick 100% New Zealand Wool We use only the best 100% wool for our mats. 1/2" thick and sourced from New Zealand. Helps prevent scorching and burning.	Professional Quality Results 100% Wool retains and distributes heat very evenly. The heat from the iron permeates the wool mat spreads and reflects back to your material. You can also lower your heat settings and, most of the time, steam is not necessary. Very little heat comes through to the bottom so you can even use it on a desk or table top safely, although a towel is recommended if using on a real hardwood surface.	Works Great for Embroidery Blocking This mat is exceptional at ironing delicate embroidery projects. Just turn your material over (never iron from the front with embroidery), place a towel underneath and carefully iron your projects from the back. You can also use the mat to block your projects.
