Angelus Leather Dye

  • Angelus dye is the most heavily pigmented dye on the market. Angelus dyes can also be diluted for desired color results. This permanent liquid dye is designed for use on smooth leather articles but also works great for gourds, woodworking, and stone. Guaranteed to penetrate leather and form a lasting color which will not peel, crack, or wash off.
  • Before dyeing, remove any dirt or existing finish by using Angelus Leather Preparer. To clean, dilute, or mix leather dye colors, use Angelus Dye Reducer Solvent. After dyeing, use one of the many Angelus finishers to protect it.
  • Please remember that dye is meant to be permanent. Once applied it may be difficult or impossible to remove.
  • Each bottle comes with a wool dye applicator and the box can be converted into a holder for the bottle while you work.
  • Made in the USA
  • Low VOC Dye: This newly transformed dye is now NOT flammable and able to ship world-wide! No more toxic or harsh chemicals and still the same great dye thousands have trusted!

How to use Angelus Leather Dye

  • We suggest wearing gloves
  • Prep by wiping down leather with leather preparer using our applicators, cotton balls, or a rag.
  • Wait for leather to dry a few minutes. Wipe down with microfiber towel to remove all lint.
  • Using Wool Daubers (One is supplied with each dye) soak the dye on the dauber.
  • Be careful of what you are dyeing. If you are dyeing a large spot use the dauber fully soaked. If you are doing a smaller section a paint brush or much less dye on the dauber may be required.
  • Make sure to soak the article you are dyeing. Dye works by soaking into the item you are dyeing. It does not act like paint. Feel free to soak and evenly rub across to make sure all is even.
  • Leave to dry. You may see a tint, bronzing, or any different finish. Do not panic! This is just residual dye on the surface.
