Is it normal to have bubbles on the protective film of the screen I received?

In order to ensure the quality and integrity of the screen product, we conduct strict quality inspection procedures before it leaves the factory. The film is applied to safeguard the screen from scratches and dirt during transportation and testing.

Will there be a color difference between the anti-glare screen GP0300 and the original Steam Deck screen?

No, the JSAUX anti-glare screen GP0300 has been strictly tested many times when manufacturing. The functionality of our anti-glare screen is the same as the original Steam Deck screen, and there is no color difference between the two.

Is this anti-glare screen a bare panel? Does the front side of the screen have a protective film?

Yes, this is a bare panel. The front side of the screen is covered with a protective film, which should be gently peeled off before use.

Can I still apply an anti-glare screen protector after replacing this screen?

We do not recommend doing so. This screen has anti-glare function, and applying an anti-glare screen protector may interfere with its effectiveness.

Precautions

Replacing the screen is a difficult and time-consuming task. The disassembly process is also prone to damaging the game console, so we strongly recommend seeking the help of a professional repair person. Regarding changes to the whole machine maintenance policy caused by disassembly, please refer to the information officially released by VALVE.
As an additional precaution, Valve recommends entering the BIOS and adjusting the Steam Deck to battery storage mode before starting internal repairs. If you have installed a Micro SD card, please remove it before disassembly.
Before starting disassembly, please ensure that the Steam Deck battery level has dropped below 25% and has been completely shut down, and all connected cables have been disconnected. Follow the anti-static safety regulations during the operation and properly store the removed original parts. Please note that accidentally damaging a charged lithium-ion battery can cause serious danger.
During the repair process, please manage the screws properly, ensure that they are correctly placed back in their original positions, and avoid damaging the Steam Deck.
Please note that the order of the video tutorial and this document may be slightly different. They provide two different disassembly and installation sequences, both of which can ensure correct disassembly and installation of the equipment. You can choose to refer to them according to your actual situation.

About the Glue on the Screen

Be careful not to use any sharp objects to scrape the remaining adhesive on the screen, as this will damage the screen coating.
Note : Confirm the location of the adhesive before installation, avoid folding the adhesive when pasting, and avoid the adhesive beyond the frame.
Before installation, make sure that the residual adhesive on the screen has been completely cleaned, and a new adhesive has been pasted on the middle frame.
