WHAT CAN SDT101 SMOKE LEAK DETECTOR LOCATOR DO？

About Smoke Test Oil

  • This product needs to use special test oil. It’s recommend to purchase liquid paraffin or baby oil as test oil if you cannot find special test oil locally.
  • SDT101 Smoke leak detector is recommended to use the filling bottle with the capacity mark in the accessories of the packing to fill in new oil.
  • Too much test oil in the machine can affect smoke output,please turn the product upside down to drain out some test oil.
  • If the product is not used for a long time, it is recommended to drain out the remaining test oil for preservation.

How to do leakage test?

  • Step 1: Connecting an external air source and a 12V battery.
  • Step 2: Fill (baby oil or mineral oil based) smoke oil into the smoke machine. Note: The oil level shall not exceed the level gauge.
  • Step 3: Disconnect the pipes that need to be conneced with detector.
  • Step 4: Connect 12V vehicle power to start the device.
  • Step 5: In about 30 seconds, the pipe will be filled with smoke. Check the leak points and use head lamp if necessary.
  • Cautions
  • 1. When you use this Car Smoke Leak Detector for the first time, fill it with 10ml baby oil. Please be careful NOT to beyond this range.
  • 2. The testing liquid: both liquid paraffin and baby oil are OK.
  • 3. Fresh oil can be filled with only when the smoke gets thin, and it can’t be filled over 20ml each time.
  • 4. Before filling fresh oil, please pour out the left oil in the detector & replace the detector oil regularly.
  • 5. During the process of leak detection, please keep away from smoke-sensitive parts.
  • 6. Do NOT run the detector over 8 minutes continuously. It needs interval rest.
  • 7. The round part of this detector has temperature, please be careful to avoid burns.
  • 8. If the test pipe needs to be disconnected in the middle, please secure the other side with a rubber stopple.
